PRODUCT UPDATE - ROTAX 914 TURBO

· New TCU ROTAX Part Number 966 741
· New TLR Program Version 4.6a Rotax has introduced a new Turbo Control Unit (TCU) part number 966 741 and a new TLR software program, version 4.6 . The new TCU and software, was introduced on engine type:

• 914 F (series) as of serial number 4 420 200
• 914 UL (series) as of serial number 4 417 849

The new version incorporates the following new and/or improved features:

• Greatly improved storage capacity. 
• Reduction of the data storage intervals from 6 to 1 minute. 
• Maximum values recorded on each channel during each interval will be stored in a separate file. The file size (20 lines) has not been changed. 
• Recorded values which exceed operating limits will be stored in a separate file (100 lines). 
• The Dongle (decoding unit) is no longer necessary to calibrate the throttle position sensor.
  This procedure is already integrated in the ROTAX 914F Maintenance Manual.

Update of Existing Engines. It is possible to retrofit existing 914 engines with the new TCU and TLR monitoring program. As the changes and improvements to the TCU are considered to be a product improvement and are not mandatory, no exchange/core credit program is available to assist with the replacement older version TCU units. All associated costs with the upgrade of existing 914 series engines to the new version TCU must be borne by the end user.  Pricing Information (all prices in US Dollars).
